Current career path in Natural Resource Management
(Noosa Landcare) including; Nursery Manager, Aquatic plants/weed research, Community
Bushland Care Program and flora and fauna surveys. Past experience includes working with
people with special needs, both adults, and children in schools (Integration Aide),
building industry and hospitality. Past incomplete studies include; Natural Systems and
Wildlife Management, Indigenous Studies, and Health and Community Studies. Volunteer
experiences include Noosa Community Environment Sector Board, WILDCARE wildlife carer,
Waterwatch Program and a number of programs designed to engage persons with special needs
in various projects. |

Laboratory Services; in addition to consultancy work. |

| Tony Haslam |
Forty four year career in State, Federal, and Local
Government including 7 years in Papua New Guinea and finally 9 years with Noosa Council.
Tony was employed in technical and professional capacities in Civil Engineering and major
building design and construction. Since retiring from Noosa Council, he has become
involved heavily in protecting the environment and is Chairman of the Noosa Community
Environment Board, and Secretary of the Noosa Integrated Catchment Association. |

| Emma Menzies |
Originally a graphic designer, Emma has always been
passionate about environmental issues. She has studied landcare and environmental studies,
and is currently studying Sustainability using the Natural Step. Emma started her own
business Green Planet International as she was committed to making a positive difference
in the environment for her children and for future generations. She has been working with Rainforest Rescue for the
past 18 months in their Daintree Buy Back and Protect Forever Project. This project is
buying back World Heritage Value freehold rainforest land in the Daintree at risk from
development for rural residential development to provide a link between two World Heritage
areas of rainforest. She has been involved with quite a lot of environmental education
work with pre-schools and primary schools. |

| Graeme Rees-Jones |
Bachelor of Laws 1961 (Melbourne University);
Barrister; Army decorations : RFD, ED. Managing partner and senior partner of Melbourne
law practices; Monash University lecturer; former Australian Attorney for Rockwell
International Corporation and director of and solicitor for its local subsidiaries;
director of several private companies. Appointed by Victorian Government as administrator
of Victorian Ballet School, instrumental in establishment of Victorian School of Dance at
Victorian College for the Arts. Former
: Councillor of the Windsor Technical School; Chairman of the TV Make it Australian
Committee and of the Koloboc Folkloric Dance Company; Vice-chairman of the Defence
Reserves Association and staff officer for the Employer Support for Reserves. Resident of
Noosa since 1988 and legal consultant to Noosa Shire Council for 14 years. |

| John Williams |
Spent his entire working life in Education teaching
at the high school level. He completed his Bachelor of Education degree at the University
of British Columbia and his Master of Education degree at Oregon State University. He
worked for 5 years at the Queensland Studies Authority where he helped establish a Senior
Subject in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies and traveled throughout the state
advising teachers on the integration of Wood and Metal trade modules into Manual Arts
subjects. Now retired living on the Noosa River. |

| Shirley Williamson |
Member of the Management Committee of Noosa Parks
Association and the community environment sector representative on the Noosa Integrated
Catchment Association. She has participated in the Noosa River Catchment Strategy
and the SE QLD Regional Water Quality Management Strategy and is also actively involved in
a range of other community groups. |

| Ben McMullen |
Ben has a Bachelor of Science in Australian
Environmental Studies from Griffith University and a Graduate Diploma of Urban Regional
Planning Queensland University of Technology. He is qualified as an Associate
Environmental Auditor with the Australian and New Zealand Environmental Standards
Association and is a member of the Queensland Local Government Managers Association. Bens career has been in Natural Resource and
Environmental Management, including air quality management and planning, natural area
management, waterways management (involving sensitive community consultation programs),
fisheries management and environmental performance and reporting systems for large
organisations.
Ben is currently the Manager of
Environmental Services at Noosa Shire Council, a position he has held for over five years.
In this position he is responsible for a wide range of Environmental Management and
Community consultation programs in the area of Natural Resource Management, which range
from management of Councils network of natural areas, Community Conservation
Programs (including Land for Wildlife and Community Bushcare Groups), waterways management
programs relating to the Noosa River and upper Mary River catchment within the Noosa
Shire, promoting improved lifestyle choices for sustainability through the Living Smart
Sustainable Living and Building Program and participation in Councils Community
Governance Programs.
